PechaKucha / 20×20 is a fantastic way to share your work with the public and create a compelling narrative of your PhD journey. This year, we are providing 10 students with an opportunity to present their 20×20 slides in Edinburgh. All you need to do is send us your 300-word abstract, which will be carefully reviewed by our expert panel – for more information about submission, please follow us on Twitter as the registration link will appear on 10th March. (But don’t worry, you’ll have until 25th April to submit your abstract.)

  1. PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images.
  2. The presentation format was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture. The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in their gallery/lounge/bar/club/creative kitchen, SuperDeluxe, in February, 2003. Klein Dytham architecture still organize and support the global PechaKucha Night network and organize PechaKucha Night Tokyo.
